This spring, Urban Decay has re-launched the newly revamped Urban Decay Ammo Palette ($34 USD), a collection of their 10 best-selling eyeshadows. If you are a big fan of Urban Decay Shadow, like myself, then this palette is a must have for you.
Along with the 10 eyesahdows found in the palette, you will also find a mini Urban Decay Primer Potion, mini-eye shadow brush and mirror on the top lid. The palette is very sleek with a magnetic closure and beautiful skull design.
The shades included in the palette are:
- Smog: Deep, coppery bronze shimmer
- Mildew: Mossy, green shimmer with gold shift
- Oil Slick: Matte black with silver micro-glitter
- Last Call: Metallic plum
- Chopper: Copper shimmer with silver micro-glitter
- Maui Wowie: Metallic golden beige with silver glitter
- Shattered: Turquoise shimmer with gold shift
- Polyester Bride: White snow shimmer with silver micro-glitter
- Grifter: Sheer lavender shimmer with silver micro-glitter
- Sin: Champagne shimmer
I love that this palette has a wide variety of shades to create looks with; however, I do wish it included more than just shimmer and glitter textured shadows. I do love to wear shimmery eyeshadow now and again, but I must admit, I am a sucker for some matte shadows for daily wear. I still love this palette and the creativity it brings out when I do my makeup. Moreover, I have the Naked basics palette which is full of matte shadows and works great in conjunction with this palette.
As with any glitter textured shadows, a little fall out may occur, but I do not have much problem with it in this palette. The pigmentation is wonderful, just as any shadows I get from Urban Decay are. As far as the primer potion goes, well I love it. I have been using the primer potion for years now and it always prevents me from having creased shadow and provides longer wear for my shadows. The brush is not horrible but I prefer to use other brushes I have when applying my shadows.
Overall, I think this is a wonderful palette full of gorgeous shades, a great addition to your collection. Especially if you love Urban Decay shades or shimmery eyeshadow in general.
Keep an eye out for my Lookbook post coming soon using this palette!
