Make a statement without saying a word!
Milani recently launched their newly improved lipstick line, Color Statement lipsticks ($5.99USD) which come in a wide range of shades, 30 shades to be exact! The shades come in a variety of finishes to include; vinyl, metallic, cream, shimmer, pearl and matte finishes. These are full coverage lipsticks that are fortified with vitamins A, C & E for added moisture to your lips.
I have all the red and orange shades from the collection that I will be reviewing today.
The orange and red shades include:
- 01 Sweet Nectar is a bright orange cream.
- 03 Orange-Gina is a warm orange pearl.
- 04 High Voltage is a shiny bright red vinyl.
- 05 Red Label is a bright red cream.
- 06 Cherry Crave is a cherry red metallic.
- 07 Best Red is a bright matte red.
- 08 Ruby Valentine is a cool red vinyl.
Each lipstick comes is a shiny gold tube with a clear bottom so that you can see the color of lipstick. They do have a wonderful fruity melon scent to them, which I really enjoy. Being 10 weeks pregnant, the slightest smells make me so nauseated but these smell amazing to me. In fact, I pull one of these bad boys out when I do get nauseated from other smells and it makes it so much better. I know some are not of fan of lipsticks with scents but I personally love the scents of these ones.
The lipsticks are highly pigmented. Some of the red shades seem VERY similar in color; however, there is a difference in finishes. They glide on smoothly and feel very moisturizing on my lips.
To go along with the new and improved Color Statement lipsticks, Milani also released the Color Statement Lipliners ($3.99). They are available in 8 shades with a long-wearing, easy glide formula. The lipliners do not have a scent to them as the lipsticks have. I absolutely love the lipliners and how smoothly they glide on my lips. They keep my lipstick from feathering and
The two shades I have include:
- 02 True Red: A bright red cream
- 04 All Natural: A cool toned nude cream
