If you are a neutral fanatic and lover of matte eyeshadows, you are going to love the new Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette ($27.00 for 0.30 oz.) It has become my everyday go to palette. I actually prefer it over my original NAKED palette. It is a nice sleek palette containing 6 full size shadows versus the 12 shadows in the Naked and Naked2 palettes.
With its slim packaging and light weight, the Basics palette is perfect for traveling anywhere you may go. The compact locks shut and has a rubbery feel to it. AI admit, at first I was not a fan of how well the palette locked shut but now I do appreciate it because I know that there is no way it will pop open to make a mess in my bag. Upon opening the compact you will find a nice large mirror and the six shadows.
The six neutral shadows included are:
- Venus: soft, off-white demi-matte
- Foxy: A pale yellow matte
- WOS (Walk of Shame): A pale pink matte
- Naked 2: taupe matte
- Faint: warm, dusty brown matte
- Crave: deep matte jet black
Both texture and pigmentation of the shadows are phenomenal and consistent throughout all the shades. I had no issues with fall out and blendability was easy. As a busy mom of one, with one on the way, I am so happy to have this palette. It makes getting ready on those rushed mornings a breeze. The range of shades and undertones make it easy to create several looks; anything from a natural day time look, to a smokey going out look.
I highly recommend this palette!
