I have been wanting to try out Cargo’s eyeshadows for quite some time now and I finally got my hands on one! The palette I have is the Essential Eye Palette in Smokey Grey ($32 USD). The palette contains four graduated shades (a combination of both satin and matte finishes) perfect for creating a smokey eye look.
I really love the look of this compact palette with its metallic grey cover and sleek packaging. Inside the palette you will find a large mirror on the lid and the four eyeshadows on the bottom. The eyeshadows also come embossed with its function (BROWBONE, LID, CREASE, OUTER CORNER) to make application a breeze for anyone!
The shades included in this palette are:
Browbone: Described as white but to me it is a frosted white
Lid: Described as a Light Grey but to me it is a frosted medium grey
Crease: Described as a medium Grey but to me it is a light-brown
Outer Corner: Charcoal Grey
I find the pigmentation of these shadows to be amazing on the lids but found them difficult to swatch. The two satin finished shades (Browbone & Lid) are very smooth whereas the matte shades are slightly rougher. I found all the shades easy to work with on my lids. They blended well and I had no issues with fall out, even in the frosted shades.
