Laura Geller Lip Spackle Review, photos and swatches

Lip spackle is a primer for your lips that creates a finely primed surface allowing your lipstick or gloss to hold in in place. This ensures your lip color stays true, fresh and glossy. My favorite part about the lip spackle is that it prevents lip color from feathering and bleeding. I’m not sure if any of you have the same problem or not but when I apply lipstick it feathers/bleeds out when I try to clean up the edges I am left with a ring around my lips of my natural lips with no color. This is very frustrating for me and makes it very hard to wear the brighter lip colors. I have tried using lip liners and they don’t work well enough at preventing the lipstick from bleeding/feathering for me.

Lip spackle is also made from natural ingredients such as Nano-Phytospheres (plant collagen) and Nano-Thalaspheres (marine collagen)to aid in smoothing lips and drawing moisture to the lips surface. So lip spackle also conditions and softens your lips which is a huge added bonus to wearing this underneath your lipstick or gloss. If that wasn’t enough reason to use this product, Laura Geller also added Vitamin E to the formulation which is an anti0oxidant used to fight free radicals.

Using Lip spackle is super quick and easy. I simply smooth a very thin layer onto my lips with my finger. I blend it out beyond the line of my lips and then go back over were I applied the spackle with my lipstick or gloss.

Here is a picture of what the spackle looks like on without any lipstick or gloss

In the picture below I am wearing the same lipstick (Snob by MAC). The right lip is wearing Laura Geller MakeUp Lip Spackle and the left is without. on the left photo can you see the top and bottom outline of my lip? it has no lipstick because it feathers/bleeds and i have to take my finger around to clean it up. The right side does not have this line because the primer keeps it from feathering /bleeding and helps keep it in place where i put it. I LOVE this lip primer because i can never get rid of that ring around my lips when wearing lipstick! That was until now I couldn’t.

Overall: I am a huge fan of Laura Geller’s Lip Spackle. It provides a beautiful base for applying my lipstick/gloss and helps keep that lipstick/gloss in place. I no longer have feathering or bleeding lipstick/gloss around my lips and my lipstick/gloss lasts longer. Plus my lips are also getting moisturized and soft just from wearing it!

One of my biggest complaints about lip gloss is that it wears off so quickly. Still I prefer gloss to lipstick, so I might just have to get me some lip spackle.

The Lip Spackle really adds a whole lot of something to your lip. It’s great that you added side-by-side images because you can totally tell the difference when you look at those pictures, and it is a big difference. This stuff seems amazing and it looks great on you!

It seems to work really well, I’ve never tried a lip primer surprisingly but that’s a bit of a steep price.
