Today I will be showing you a few basic and simple exercises that you can do at home for a quick all around workout. For today’s workout I am wearing the Lacey Cami and Wonona Capri from Body Language Sportswear. Standard Push-up
The standard push-up is one of the easiest and most well known pus-ups out there. It works your chest and shoulder muscles. To perform this push-up keep your feet close together and your arms shoulder width apart. Keeping a straight body and your elbows close to your sides lower yourself until your chest almost touched the ground. Push back up and you my friend have just completed one rep.
Do 15-20 reps 3 times through
Overhead Dumbbell Extension
,While sitting in a chair, on a bench, or on your knees (like I am), pick up a dumbbell and Grip the weight by placing both hands on the dumbbell. Start the rep with your dumbbell directly overhead with your arms fully extended (the picture didn’t get taken with my arms fully extended) continue by lowering the dumbbell behind your head until you feel a complete stretch in your triceps. Pause briefly while you feel the stretch and then repeat.
Do 15-20 reps 3 times through
Basic Crunch
Start by lying on your back with your knees bent and balls of the feet placed on the ground. Place your arms criss-cross across your chest while your abs are contracted and slowly lift your shoulder blades about two inches off the floor. Hold this position for a few seconds and slowly lower back down while still contracting your abs.
Do 15-20 reps 3 times through
Dumbbell Lunge
Start by grabbing a pair of dumbbells in each hand and then stand up straight with feet a little less than shoulder width apart and your arms hanging by your sides. For the first rep, take a big step forward with either leg and bend at the knee until your front thigh is parallel with the ground. The rear leg should be balanced on your toes with a bend in the knee. Lastly, step back into your starting positions and repeat with the alternate leg.
Do 15-20 reps 3 times through
Cardio
Do 20-30 minutes of cardio.
