Youngblood Summer 2012 Blush Collection
For Summer 2012, Youngblood has come out with a new collection that will be available June 1st. This collection includes two new blush shades from their Luminous Crème Blush line, as well as seven shades of their new Mighty Lip Gels. I already own and love one of their Luminous Crème Blushes so I am excited to try out one of their new shades. I am also very excited about their new Mighty Shiny Lip Gel, which I will be reviewing in another post!
Earlier this Spring Youngblood released their new Luminous Crème blushes in four different shades. They have added two more shades to that line for their Summer 2012 collection. Many of you may have seen my previous post on these blushes, but if you haven’t you can check it out here. The Luminous Crème blushes are oil-free and suitable for all skin tones. If you haven’t tried crème blushes before these are the perfect first ones to try with how flawlessly they blend into the skin. The cream blushes come in a shallow clear pot with a black twist-off lid.
The four shades released in Spring were:
- Tropical Glow
- Rose Quartz
- Taffeta
- Champagne Life
The two new shades this summer are:
- Plum Satin: mid-tone rose shade with a hint of shimmer
- Pink Cashmere: a matte coral-pink
Plum Satin Luminous Crème Blush
I have only tried out Plum Satin but I absolutely love how natural it looks on the apples of my cheeks. The Spring 2012 collection had more of a shimmery finish to it than Plum Satin does. Plum Satin has more of a Satin finish which I am really happy about because of my oily skin. I don’t usually like to were shimmery products on my cheeks in the summer time because of how oily my skin gets. If I carry around oil blotting sheets than I will were the shimmer but otherwise I like matte or satin finishes in the summer.

Rating: A+
Overall: I really LOVE the Luminous Crème Blushes from Youngblood. I have to say that Plum Satin is now my favorite shade out of all the ones I own thus far. It’s a VERY natural looking blush on my skin tone and applies so smoothly with easy bendability.
