Okay, so I’m very picky about my hair products. VERRRYYYYYYY very picky. Mostly because I have finnicky hair. My hair is flat, frizzy, has flyaways and an awkward part that I struggle to work with everyday. Inova Professional has swooped in to save the bad hair day! Also, I’d like to thank them for sponsoring this review; it’s really been a pleasure.
So most of you may be aware by now that I LOVEEE things that smell good, and probably won’t use it if I don’t like it’s scent. Each of the products in the Introduction Kit smell a little different. None of them are strong, and by no means smell like chemicals. Individually, their scents differ slightly– which I found odd. Normally products from one brand tend to smell the same. Inova is unique in many ways, and one of my favorites is that the outcome of the use of all products produces not only gorgeous hair, but a fantastic (yet subtle) smell that lasts all day along with the results.
Inova Professional has ever so graciously provided the Introduction Kit for an in-depth review. Included is the Sulfate-free Shampoo, Hydration Conditioner, Sheer Magic, Pure Shine, and the Miracle Mask. Their original purpose was to create a product that conditions, heals, and protects hair from damage and unruly frizz with long-lasting results. The salon-quality proucts they have created are based on the original Pure Keratin Hair Smoothing Treatment that deletes frizz from your hairs memory and straightens it in the process. Not only do they offer products, but stylers as well! These unique stylers have titanium plates, and are specifically designed to work with their line! Oh technology these days
Firs of all, can I say WOW!?!
Ok. I’m good now. Moving on! I took pictures above so you can get the best idea possible as to what these babies can do. The shampoo is very thick and has the texture of conditioner. If you’ve ever used Chi, you may have an idea of what I mean– now take it to the next level! It lathers perfectly, sinking in and relaxing your tired roots immediately. You can feel it softening your hair as you knead it into a lather.
The conditioner really surprised me! My hair may be thin, but it’s long and I have a lot of it. The conditioner held my hair in a bun all on it’s own (see above) and is even creamier than the shampoo! It definitely increases shine as it soaks your hair. The only thing that I was bummed about was that it takes a lot of it to detangle your hair. I most definitely suggest combing your hair beforehand, which should be done anyway because brushing your hair when it’s wet causes more breakage and catches your hair at it’s weakest moment.
After that came the Miracle Mask, which is my favorite part. This stuff isn’t just creamy, it’s like frosting!!! And boy, oh, boy does it smell grand I left it in about 20 min (they advise 30+) and it still gave my hair that silky soft feeling that didn’t disappear when I rinsed it out.
The Sheer Magic and Pure Shine I only use when I’m straightening my hair. They are incredible and make all the difference when you’re not styling your hair, however they weighed my hair down slighty when I tried styling it afterwards– then again that doesn’t take much for my hair. Hah. Sheer Magic is a lotion-looking product that turned my hair into cashmere! As where Pure Shine did exactly as it’s name suggests. At first Pure Shine made my hair look greasy… Don’t Panic! It’s soaks in and leaves your hair look polished and brand new.
Enough talk check out the difference between my previous daily use of John Frieda products (shampoo, conditioner, end spray and frizz-ease):
Notice how it’s not really straight… that wasn’t from my straightener, either. It’s from the Frizz-ease. If I don’t use the right amound sometimes that’ll happen. It was so manageable afterwards– not to mention I didn’t have to sacrifice volume for softness and straightness. I’m so excited to finally have a product line that covers it all (as long as I make sure I brush my hair before I shower).
Also, don’t forget they also carry some fantastic stylers to finish off that perfect hairstyle. Go check ‘em out. I know I’m going to!
